"Woodland Bottoms, Washington ... November 9, 2015"
The Trip:    Gorgeous day ... went to Woodland Bottoms to see if we could find the Swamp Sparrow which had been seen there ... no luck ... there had also been a leucistic Bewick's Wren seen there the day before and again, no luck there either ... but a gorgeous day otherwise ... had a Dunlin !!!!!! ... but the highlight of the day was the orange-tagged Red-tailed Hawk "H3" ... a bird tagged at the Portland International Airport.

Woodland Bottoms:    Woodland Bottoms is the floodplain of the Lewis River. The area is in Cowlitz County and is bordered on the north by Burke Slough, on the south by the Lewis River, on the east by Interstate 5, and on the west by the Columbia River. From pdxraptors.com ... "H/3 was trapped at the PDX airport on May 23, 2015 as a second year bird. After being banded and wing-tagged, H/3 was then released in Clatskanie, Oreogn, on May 27, 2015."
