The Trip:
Mid-morning trip (and trying to beat the rain storm heading in) to Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge, south of Portland, Oregon, to look for the Emperor Goose reported there ... SUCCESS !!! ... the Emperor was easily seen (best with scope) from the observation balcony ... as an added attraction there were LOTS of various ducks and geese visible from the observation balcony, including Cacklers, Greater White-fronted Geese, Great Egrets, American and Eurasian Wigeons, Pintails, Buffleheads, and Ruddy Ducks ... and right before the rain hit a Red-tailed Hawk flew overhead ...
